Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the America's sweetheart when she won American Idol in the first series. The win brought Clarkson to notoriety and led to the contract of RCA Records 19 Recordings, as well as 'S Records. In the years since, she's released many studio albums, three of that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just fell short of the top spot. She has been one of American Idol's most successful performers. She started to explore music and themes when her popularity was growing. As a tribute to her talent and individuality, she has been rewarded with a variety of accolades and awards. The Grammy Award is her most prestigious award. Aside from her career in music, she's also been featured on film and television. She also co-wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated with various charitable organizations.
